Drilling Antarcticas ice is part of climate change science, but a team have beem asked to drill on the frozen contionent for vintage Scotch Whiskey.
The drillers will be trying to free bottles from two crates of McKinlay and Co whiskey shipped by polar explorer Sir Ernest Shackelton in 1909
Whyte & Mackay the group who now owm McKinlay,s and Co, has asked for a sample for a series of experiments
This all sounds very interesting and i,m sure they will get all the help they need when it,s scotch whiskey they are drilling for i hope they can trust whoever is drilling for the whiskey not to drink it

Some people will do anything for a drink! I bet it's nice and chilled though!
